EXECUTIVE COACHING - Aisling Executive

How It Works

EXECUTIVE AND SALES COACHING: PHILOSOPHY AND METHODOLOGY

Through the process of coaching, clients deepen their self-awareness, broaden their skills, improve their performance, and enhance their quality of life. Our executive coaching consultancy process is a mutual exploration process between the coach and the client, helping each person clarify and achieve what is most important to the client’s success.

In each of our meetings, we spend time working on clear goals: getting a clear sense of what matters to you, what motivates you, what values you want to live by and lead by. Then we work on how you would use those goals and values to make conscious choices about what you do and where you spend your time.

Aisling Executive Coaching Ltd. partners with our clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.

Executive & Sales coaching is a distinct service and differs greatly from therapy, consulting, mentoring, or training. An executive & sales coach is a qualified professional that works with individuals to help them gain self-awareness, clarify goals, achieve their development objectives, unlocking their potential as leaders.

Individuals who engage in a coaching relationship can expect to experience fresh perspectives on personal challenges and opportunities, enhanced thinking and decision-making skills, enhanced interpersonal effectiveness, and increased confidence in carrying out their chosen work and life roles. Each program is customized to the executive’s strengths, blind spots, and business responsibilities.

A helpful diagnostic is to examine where among these five areas you are challenged.

  • Insight: The extent to which people are aware of what they need to develop to achieve greater personal and organizational success. Do they stop to reflect on what could be done differently?
  • Motivation: Defined as people’s willingness to invest the time and energy it takes to develop themselves. Do they have a commitment to learning? Are they eager for a challenge?
  • Capabilities: Defined as the extent to which people have the skills and knowledge they need. What new capabilities might they need?
  • Real-world Practice: The extent to which people have opportunities to try their new skills at work. Do they have the opportunities to stretch themselves?
  • Accountability: The internal and external mechanisms that drive people to internalize their new capabilities, so they actually improve performance and results.

We then begin to design the executive and sales performance coaching process from start to finish. Along the way, we may utilize a set of leadership development training and assessments. Through a strategic partnership with TTI Success Insights® (TTI SI), Aisling leverages industry-leading TTI SI assessment tools as a tactical data gathering system.

We believe all people have unique talents and skills of which they are often unaware. Assessment tools can serve to reveal and harness those talents into performance for the good of individuals and organizations alike. For over 30 years, TTI SI has created and distributed a suite of assessments that have stood the test of time. These assessments are at work in Fortune 1000 companies worldwide and have provided results for more than 100,000 companies over the years.

Aisling is an expert at leveraging the insights gained from these assessments into a customized plan for executive coaching for CEOs, top executives, and high potential employees – meeting the unique needs and goals for each coaching engagement. Each coaching relationship is based on trust and confidentiality.

The number of executive & sales coaching sessions is dependent on you and what you wish to accomplish. Generally, every Aisling coaching engagement follows the flow outlined below.

COACHING TIMELINE

Part 1: Framing the Goal

  • Determining your desired outcome. We will spend our first coaching session asking you questions about all areas of your life to get the full picture of your current situation. This is an interactive session that sets goals for the engagement and determines your desired outcome. We will present you with the proposed purpose and outcomes of our coaching engagement together. This includes a clear articulation of the shift that needs to be made in terms that will give you a fresh perspective on your journey. We will DISCuss the tools we may employ to assist us in this journey.

Part 2: Working Through the Issues

  • The Journey Begins. Every 50-minute session will begin with you sharing your progress, including any insights gained and obstacles encountered. We will DISCuss additional paths to maintain your momentum or refocus your efforts as needed. We will also help you re-frame challenges that arise to see them in a new light as indications of, or opportunities for, continued growth.

Part 3: Take a Break

  • Reflection and adjustment. Upon completion, we will reflect back on where you were when you began and where you are now, drawing attention to the shift you’ve created for yourself. You worked hard to get here. Well done!

Part 4: Where Do We Go From Here?

  • Deciding what’s next. We will have a follow-up session scheduled one month after your program completion. During this session, you will share your new insights from this vantage point, and we’ll DISCuss successes and perhaps new challenges. Everything you’ve learned up until now will be reinforced and deepened to keep the momentum going. Once our engagement comes to a close, you may choose to continue working with me or end there. The decision is yours. Together, if you renew, we will identify a new issue to tackle, and the cycle will begin again.
